Fragmented career orientation: the formation of career importance, decidedness and aspirations among students

The study aims to examine the formation of and interrelationship between career importance, decisiveness, aspirations among students. data used in came from ‘School experience, educational scholastic achievement Qatar’ survey 2018-2020 (SEEASAP). A sample 841 students aged 12–14 was for analysis. results this showed that future orientation young people tends be fragmented incoherent. Believing centrality work employment one’s life does not necessarily help become more certain about their or boost aspirations. also decidedness are shaped by different factors providing further evidence incoherence people’s times greater insecurity instability. theoretical implications limitations discussed throughout.
